Qualification & Experience

He studied law and completed his legal training in Freiburg, Bonn, Mainz, Berlin, and Quito (Ecuador). He obtained a doctorate in Potsdam and Berlin on a topic related to international insolvency law. Scholar of the German Research Foundation (DFG). Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania, USA.

Mr. Schulte was an associate at Linklaters from 1997 to 2000 and then spent ten years at Hogan Lovells in Berlin and Munich, seven of which as partner. Since 2010, he has been Group General Counsel at various companies, Unify GmbH & Co. KG (formerly Siemens Enterprise), Schön Klinik SE, and Douglas AG for more than eight years. During these years, he has accompanied comprehensive corporate transformations, restructurings, and refinancing transactions worth billions and prepared exits for PE investors and an IPO. He was also Chief Compliance Officer and, at times, CHRO.

He advises companies and investors on all areas of corporate law, financing, restructurings, corporate transactions as well as on commercial, corporate governance and compliance topics.

Mr. Schulte is fluent in English and has a good knowledge of Spanish.
