Dr. Stephan Degmair is active in the technology/media/IP, litigation and commercial areas.
Dr. Degmair studied and completed is legal traineeship in Regensburg, Córdoba (Spain) and Munich (Ludwig Maximilian University). He gained his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property with a thesis in copyright law. He was admitted to practice law in 2001.
Before co-founding STOLZENBERG Rechtsanwälte, he worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and as an attorney at Lovells (Munich), Hogan & Hartson Raue (Berlin and Munich), and as a partner at Beiten Burkhardt and Oppenländer (both Munich).
Dr. Degmair focuses mainly on companies in the area of new media, digital business and IT as well as traditional industrial enterprises. His principle activities are contract design and litigation, especially in connection with IP and commercial issues. He is a regular writer and speaker, particularly in the area of digital business. He is a member of the German Society for Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR), the Working Group for IT Law (DAVIT) and the Working Group for Intellectual Property and Media (AGEM) at the German Bar Association (DAV).
Dr. Degmair speaks fluent English, Spanish and French.
